John Francis Sullivan III and Wendy Elizabeth Halovanic were married April 5 at St. Francis Church, Dracut, Mass., by Father Christopher Casey.

The bride is a daughter of Ron and June Halovanic, Grove City.

Parents of the groom are John and Claire Sullivan, Methuen, Mass.

The bride wore a Bonny princess-cut gown with a flipped tip of the shoulder neckline, decorated with scattered beadwork. The front bodice was decorated with beadwork in ivory, silver and lavender, and the back featured flipped tails and a beaded semi-cathedral train in royal satin of ivory with lavender accents. She wore a tiara in silvertine metal with cut-out detail and rhinestone accents, and an elbow-length veil in ivory with a blusher. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory and purple roses with stephanotis with pearl head pins.

The bride made her necklace and earrings. The necklace was a two-strand choker made of pearls, lavender seed beads with alternating silver squares, accented with clear and lavender Swarovski crystals, with complementing drop earrings.

Ronda Smucz was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Althouse, Amanda Bausher and Julie Owens.

They wore Alfred Angelo floor-length gowns in satin and chiffon with an empire waist and an A-line skirt with a side chiffon drape in lavender. They carried hand-tied bouquets of purple roses, purple stock and purple statice.

The bride made each attendant a two-strand illusion necklace with purple rounds and featuring an oval purple flower bead in the center with complementing drop earrings.

John Sullivan Jr., groom’s father, was best man. Ushers were Frank Korn, Joe Alba and Ben Clark.

Following a honeymoon to Rome, Florence and Venice, the couple live in Dracut, Mass.

Mrs. Sullivan is a 1994 graduate of Grove City High School. She graduated from Bentley College, Waltham, Mass., in 1998 with a bachelor of arts degree in international cultures and economy with a minor in business studies. She is a product manager, web development, for Interactive Data Pricing and Reference Data, Bedford, Mass.

Her husband graduated from Central Catholic High School, Lawrence, Mass., in 1994. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Worcester (Mass.) Polytechnic Institute. He is a senior software engineer for Emulex Corp., Bolton, Mass.
