Kildoo, Chuzie lead GC squads to team titles at Lakeview Invite

The Grove City High boys and girls teams swept the team titles at Saturday’s Lakeview Invitational in Stoneboro. The GC boys won with a 25 while the Lady Eagles posted an 18.
Other boys scores were Greenville (61), West Middlesex (73), Lakeview (88) and Wilmington (90).
Girls team scores were Greenville (53), Lakeview (63), Wilmington and West Middlesex.
Grove City’s Jacob Kildoo captured the boys individual title with a time of 16:57.80. GC’s Tom Bollinger was 2nd (17:31) and Wilmington’s Josh Ferrell placed 3rd (18:11.90).
Greenville’s Zach Candela placed 4th (18:17), West Middlesex’s Bill Hudson was 8th (18:57.30) and Lakeview’s Corey Rodgers finished 9th (19:03.90).
The girls title was captured by Grove City’s Sara Chuzie (20:53.60). GC’s Nicole Wizorek was 2nd (21:31.80) and Greenville’s Allison Pfaff took 3rd, clocking in at 21:36.60.
Lakeview’s Kelly Stringer placed 9th (22:42.10), Wilmington’s MaryLou Ware was 14th (24:30.10) and WM’s Emily Masotto finished 15th in a time of 24:49.10.

ä Hickory 1, Commodore Perry 0 — At Hornet Stadium in Hermitage, Sean Zippie buried a penalty kick with 33 minutes to go in the 1st half as the Hornets (11-2, 12-2) edged the Panthers.
Hickory senior Mark DuVall made 4 saves in recording his 20th career shutout.
The Hornets outshot CP 15-4.
