ä Grove City 5, Hickory 0 — At Hermitage, the host Hornettes (3-1) and Lady Eagles endured four 3-set matches, with Grove City (4-0) garnered all of them, including Kelly McBryan’s rally from an opening-set loss as she copped a 2nd-set tiebreaker, then blanked Anna Wallace in the 3rd.

ä Kennedy Catholic 164, Greenville 165 — At par-36 The Greens at Greenville, the visiting Golden Eagles edged the Trojans (6-3), though Greenville’s Danny Bates bagged medalist honors with his round of 35. Eric Grasso and Mike Klaric carded 38 and 39, respectively, to key Kennedy (6-0).
“It was a very good match. It came down to the last guys,” summarized Greenville coach Dan McMillen.

ä Kennedy Catholic 3, Ursuline 1 — At Butala Stadium, the host Lady Golden Eagles eased to their 1st win of the season as Jenna Green garnered a goal and assist.
Also, Chelsea Bernat and Emily Friedrich got Golden Eagles’ goals, Katie Ritchey recorded an assist, and Angela Balint made 5 saves in goal to key Kennedy (1-1), which attempted 11 shots.;
For Ursuline, Brittany Curd collected the lone score.
ä Harbor Creek 4, Hickory 2 — At Harborcreek, the host Huskies (3-0) had a 20-9 edge in shots in remaining unbeaten.competitive match
Leann Krysiak tallied twice for Harbor Creek and Stephanie Corey and Erin Yount each added a goal, while keeper Nicole Rzodkiewicz played well.
Amy Ward and Allison Richards garnered goals for Hickory (0-1), and Ward assisted on the latter’s. Also, keeper Karen Szabo made 7 saves, aided by her defense.
ä Grove City 7, Clarion Area 1 — At Clarion, the Lady Eagles routed Clarion as Samantha Lawrence posted a hat trick for GC.
Alyssa Mackey, Roshelle Bonner, Michelle Asberger and Sarah Walzer added the other goals.
Darcy Holmes and Samantha Hanrahan split time in goal for GC (2-0).
BOYS SOCCER
ä Hickory 2, Mercer 0 — At Hornet Stadium, Dominic Bermudez and Ante Mesin posted 1st-half goals as the Hornets (2-0) blanked the Mustangs. James Black and Kevin Tantuo earned assists. Mark DuVall notched his 15th career shutout.
The Hickory defense allowed only 1 shot on goal. Hickory had 13 shots on goal and Mercer goal Joel Soloman was credited with 8 saves.
JV: 0-0.
ä Commodore Perry 6, Sharpsville 1 — At Sheakleyville, CP outshot Sharpsville (0-3) 21-2 in posting the win.
Ethan Milford led CP with a pair of goals and Matt Hetrick posted a goal and 2 assists. Matt Wasser, Cody Marshall and Sean McErlane also found the net for the Panthers. McErlane, Ian Anthony and Justin Hockman also had assists for the winners. Josh Forbes was the winning keeper.
Zach Patterson posted the lone goal for the Blue Devils. Ryan Bibler earned the assist.
