West Middlesex High mentor and meet director Bob Morris announced the 18th annual Big Red Invitational is set for Sept. 6, beginning 9 a.m. on the West Middlesex High campus.
Approximately 1,250 runners, representing 39 schools, will compete in 4 divisions (according to PIAA enrollment), ranging fromNew Castle (405 girls, 450 boys) to Venango Catholic (34 girls, 34 boys).
Included among the local schools are West Middlesex, Sharon, Hickory, Sharpsville, Kennedy Catholic, Grove City, Greenville, Reynolds, Mercer, Jamestown, Commodore Perry, Lakeview and Wilmington.
The order of events will be: 7th-, 8th-grade girls and boys, Varsity girls and boys (White, Red divisions), and JV girls and boys.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
ä Brookfield 3, Champion 0—At Champion Tuesday, the visiting Lady Warriors won in a 25-20, 25-10, 25-17 sweep.
Brookfield: Ashley Swezey 9 kills; Brittany Hiner, 20 serving points (2 aces), 20 assists; Kelsey Husnick 20 digs; Marissa Jones, Hilary Christy 4 blocks apiece.
BOYS GOLF
ä Lakeview 171, Reynolds 181—On the par-36 back nine at Pine Grove Golf Course Tuesday, the host Sailors (1-1) secured the win, led by medalist Brandon Mosley.
Lakeview: Brandon Mosley 39, Matt Carlson 43, Cameron Alexander 44, Derek Giovengo 46. Reynolds: Ethan Patterson 43, Josh Brown, Joe Torok 45s, Brandon Thompson 48.
ä Campbell 167, Brookfield 196—At Bedford Trails Golf Course Tuesday, Kyle Firm fired a 38 to lead the Campbell victory.
Brookfield: John Haun 44, Matt Mulligan 48, Tyler Thompson 48, Tyler Guzan 56. Campbell: Firm 38, Andrew Austalosh 41, Brian Austalosh 42, Sean Allison 46.
