The District 10 committees have announced postseason tournament pairings for softball and baseball:

SOFTBALL
ä Wilmington 10, Sharpsville 0 (5 inn,) — On Thursday, the Lady ’Hounds (16-1) rode the strong arm of Brooke Buchowski, who went 4 innings, before Sydney Cuscino hurled the last frame.
On offense Cassi Conway went 3-for-3, while Cuscino was 2-for-3 with a double and a home run as well as 3 RBIs. Buchowski and Haley Marett each added 2 hits for coach Paul Smargiasso.
ä Kennedy Catholic 6, Mercer 2 — At Hermitage Thursday, righty Katie Ritchey fired a 4-hitter, whiffing 11 and walking 3 during her route-going outing.
Offensively for Kennedy (10-8), Sarah Ritchey ripped 3 hits including a double, Liza Catania connected for 2 including a triple and plated a pair, and Emily Friedrich, Angela Balint and Chelsea Bernat each banged a pair of hits. One of Friedrich’s was a triple.
Losing pitcher Cassie Lipinski also went the distance and struck out 3 while walking only 1. Nespor and Heckathorn split Mercer’s hits, with one of Heckathorn’s being a two-bagger.
KC claimed 7 wins in its final 10 regular-season games.
