Reynolds, Sharon, Lakeview and Sharpsville boys pick up wins as Guerino Tournament begins

The 11th annual Buddy Guerino Underclassmen Basketball Tournament tipped off on Monday at Sharpsville High with four boys games.
The 2007 champions were the Farrell boys and girls. There are no Farrell teams entered in this year’s tourney.
Monday’s game recaps:
ä Reynolds 60, Greenville 49 — Russ Conley poured in 25 points for Reynolds as the Raiders and Trojans tipped off the tourney.
Chris Laverty (19) and Andrew Martin (12) also scored in double digits for Reynolds.
Alex Betz and Tyler Blaschak led Greenville with 12 points each. Also, Cody Marshall bucketed 10.
ä Sharon 76, Shenango 45 — D’Andre Johnson posted 18 points and Preston Jefferson added 16 as the Tigers routed Shenango.
Also for Sharon, Ryan Sypolt had 12 points and Shawn Matsko contributed 10 markers.
Mike Moroco (20) and Rich Gaston (11) were the double-digit scorers for the Wildcats.
ä Lakeview 53, Slippery Rock 48 — Jonas Philson posted 16 points to lead 4 double-digit scorers as the Sailors defeated the Rockets.
Cory Rodgers (13), Lucas Reddick (12) and Ben Bires (10) were the other top scorers for Lakeview.
Derrick Orloski scored a game-high 17 points to lead SR. Also, Ethan Geisler registered 11 markers.
ä Sharpsville 61, Mercer 25 — Matt Totin posted 14 points as the Blue Devils rolled past the Mustangs.
