Baton twirlers donate money for diabetes research

Chad Javens
Hermitage

On behalf of Team Courage Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, which is part of Shenango Valley Foundation, I would like to thank the Centurions Baton Corps and the Sensations Baton Corps.

Each generously donated the proceeds from their joint recital, A Twirling Benefit for Juvenile Diabetes, to our local organization. We are dedicated to raising funds for juvenile diabetes research and enhancing the lives of those with type 1 diabetes.

I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to the Hermitage School District for allowing use of their gymnasium for this charitable event and to those who attended.

It was a pleasure to witness the evening’s showcase of our area’s youth and their baton twirling skill and dedication. How comforting it is to know that our community has such positive organizations.
