Seventh-day Adventist pastor begins duties

The Butler, New Castle and Shenango Valley Seventh-day Adventist Districts welcomes its new pastor.
Pastor Ken L. Knosp began his ministry July 14 in Pennsylvania. The local church is located on Wheatland Road, Shenango Township.
The former Lutheran pastor for about 20 years moved from Minot, N.D., to Harmony, Pa. He formerly served the Ohio Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Pastor Knosp and his wife, Janice P. Knosp, served overseas for some years in China and Hong Kong.
Pastor Knosp, originally from Pennsylvania, graduated from Conestoga Valley High School; Elizabethtown (Pa.) College, with a bachelor’s in Bible and philosophy; Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg with a master of divinity; and Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Mich., with a doctor of ministry studies.
In preparation for receiving his doctorate, Pastor Knosp completed a book comparing Luther’s teachings with the Seventh-day Adventist teachings.

His wife is completing studies in management and social work under University of Phoenix.
They have five children.
He brings his interest in evangelism and church growth to the Pennsylvania Conference.
