Word Centered church marking 5th anniversary
MASURY — Word Centered Fellowship Church, 490 Lucy St., today through Sunday will celebrate its fifth anniversary.
The celebration will begin with a gospel extravaganza in The Radisson of Sharon, Shenango Township. Tickets are $10 and include dinner. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the church at 330-448-4060.
The program will include praise and worship teams, flag dancers, soloist and the Covenant Mime Ministry of Pittsburgh. A Chinese auction will be held during the meal.
The celebration will end with a special service at 11 a.m. Sunday in the church, with the message given by Rev. Dr. L. Bryant Parker of Indianapolis.
Community Prayer Band to meet in Jesus’ Church

Villa Maria center hosting pair of programs
VILLA MARIA — Villa Maria Retreat Center, one mile south of U.S. 422 on Evergreen Road in Lawrence County, will host two upcoming programs.
“Spirit of the Season: Spring” is set from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Sister Carlyn Gorny-Kopkowski, spirituality programs director for the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, will speak. Cost is $40 and includes lunch.
“The Life of the Spirit” annual Bernardin lunch and lecture is slated from noon to 3 p.m. May 23. The Rev. Howard Gray, special assistant to the president of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., will speak. Cost is $40 and includes registration and lunch, or $35 for students.

Bill Rudge speaking in I.H.S. Gospel Ministries

An offering will be received toward the publication of Rudge’s new book, “Sexual Immorality.”

St. Paul’s UCC honoring those who serve
HERMITAGE — Law enforcement officers, emergency medical service personnel and their families in the Shenango Valley will be honored Sunday in St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 159 Todd Ave. Coffee and doughnuts will be served at 10:30 a.m., followed at 11 a.m. by an hour-long service.
Peace Officers’ Memorial Day was Thursday. May 24 is National Emergency Medical Services Memorial Day, when the nation salutes paramedics, emergency medical technicians and medevac pilots and nurses who have died in the line of duty while working to save others’ lives.
Bethlehem Baptist hosting guest pastor
SHARON — The pastor of Second Baptist Church, Sharpsville, will speak at 4 p.m. Sunday in Bethlehem Baptist Church, 858 Wallis Ave.

Second Baptist marking ‘Annual Women’s Day’
FARRELL — “Annual Women’s Day” will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in Second Baptist Church, 1138 Spearman Ave.

Iraqi woman to be seen on Crossing Paths TV
HERMITAGE — Newal Picard of Baghdad will be a special guest on Crossing Paths television ministry. Times are 11 a.m. Sunday on FOX 17/62, which is a new outlet for Crossing Paths; 9 a.m. Sunday on Time Warner Channel 5; 11 p.m. today on UHF Ch. 29; and 1:37 a.m. Wednesday on WKBN-Channel 27.
The Iraqi woman became a believer in Christ and ministers with her husband, Brian Picard, a Baptist minister from North Side Baptist Church in Liberty Township, Youngstown. They also lead missions to Syria and Jordan.

Villa Maria marking 10th year of its labyrinth

Fallowfield U.M. Church sets revival
ATLANTIC — A revival is planned for Sunday through Tuesday in Fallowfield United Methodist Church, 3993 Leach Road, with Dr. Michael Poke of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church as featured speaker.
A covered dish dinner will be at 3 p.m. and a concert featuring St. Paul’s Male Chorus at 4:30 p.m., both Sunday; and Bible study with Marge Hines, 9:30 a.m.; and praise and worship service at 7 p.m both Monday and Tuesday.
Nursery will be provided both during Bible study and evening services.

MERCER — A MAYN (Mercer Area Youth Network) event is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the rear parking lot of Bethany Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Venango St.
The tailgate party that includes a pig roast and bonfire celebrates the “Nikes” and “Renovate” youth ministries. Parents and teens in seventh through 12th grades can attend; bring a lawn chair. Participants also can bring a dish to share.

Love Christian sets special youth meeting
FARRELL — A special youth meeting will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in Love Christian Center, 411 Hamilton Ave.
Sue Egyud, an accomplished violinist from Conneaut Lake, will speak. A multicultural worship team will accompany her under the direction of the Rev. Ralph Egyud, her husband.
Doors open at 6 p.m. to sign in young people through age 19 for drawings for 35 door prizes to be held at the end of the meeting.
City Rescue Mission sets Community Connection
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP — City Rescue Mission of New Castle will host a Community Connection at 7 p.m. Thursday in Grove City Alliance Church, 845 N. Liberty Road.
Area clergy, church leaders, mission committee members and those interested in ministering to others can take part. How the mission ministers to the hungry, hurting and homeless of western Pennsylvania will be covered. How individuals, churches and other groups can get involved also will be discussed.
