The Rev. Mark Oerter has been named interim minister of Zion’s United Church of Christ, 17 Church St., Transfer; and St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, 5 Baker Hill Road, New Hamburg.

The Grove City resident has a history degree from Grove City College, a master’s degree in counseling from Slippery Rock University, and a master’s degree in religion from Pittsburgh Seminary.

Rev. Oeter has been a lay pastor, minister of visitation and supply pastor in various Pennsylvania churches
