• Shane Eckard, 28, of 87 Shenango Park Road, Pymatuning Township, was charged with theft, receiving stolen property and driving under suspension after police said he tried to steal a Harley Davidson motorcycle from the parking lot at Giant Eagle on East State Street.

Police said the bike’s owner came out of the store about 5:45 p.m. Friday and saw Eckard driving it through the parking lot, chased him and got him to stop. Eckard asked the man if it was his bike and when he said yes, Eckard got off of it and walked away. Police found him nearby on East State Street.

• Someone between 2:30 and 11 p.m. Friday broke into a home in the 900 block of Patricia Drive and stole $900 worth of video games, a PlayStation and other equipment, police said.
