Brookfield
• Stephanie L. Clark, 39, of 1023 S. Park Drive, Brookfield, was cited at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday with failing to control her dog after it ran from her home and attacked a dog being walked by a 49-year-old man, police said.
The dog that was attacked had bite wounds, police said.
Hempfield Township
• Heather Johnston, 35, of Lake Road, Sandy Creek Township, was cited for cruelty to animals after police received a report around 3 p.m. Friday that she left her dog in her hot car while it was parked at a Williamson Road business for 1θ hours. The dog was OK, police said.
Hermitage
• Jason Hawthorne, 32, of 459 Edgewood Drive, Sharon, has been charged with forgery and theft for stealing $6,500 from a relative by forging a check to himself and another to an 84-year-old woman Jan. 30 and March 11 at National City Bank, 2470 E. State St., police said.
Pymatuning Township
• A Shadeland Estates resident reported at 11:45 p.m. Friday someone stole a mountain bike worth $130 from outside their home, 3752 N. Hermitage Road. The 24-inch, 18-speed bike is maroon with gray handlebars and a purple chain wrapped around the bottom of the seat.
Sharon
• Police are investigating an armed robbery at 8:18 p.m. Friday at a store in the 800 block of East State Street, police said.
A man showed a clerk a gun and demanded cash, police said, and after he was given an undisclosed amount of money he fled north on Euclid Avenue.
Police described the robber as a clean-shaven white male in his 20s wearing a gray hoodie pulled over his face, brown shorts and red flip flops.

• Ryan M. Campbell, 19, of 469 Thornton St., Sharon, was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, underage drinking and public drunkenness at 11:43 p.m. Friday at home, police said.
• Gary Paul Golub Jr., 18, of 671 S. Irvine Ave., Sharon, was charged with simple assault, public drunkenness and underage drinking at 10:35 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East State Street, police said.
• Someone stole about 120 DVDs overnight Thursday from a home in the 200 block of Stambaugh Avenue, police said. The items are valued at more than $1,200.
• Someone stole two Nintendo consoles and controllers, several video games, a DVD player, a buck knife and a boom box prior to 9:30 p.m. Thursday from a home in the 1400 block of Hall Avenue, police said.
Sharpsville
• There have been a series of cars vandalized in Sharpsville the past week, police said. Nine vehicles were spraypainted and egged overnight June 24, most in the area of Hazen Road, police said.
Four teenage boys are facing criminal mischief charges after cars were egged June 25 on Pierce Avenue, police said. Those boys are not believed to be connected to the incident the night before, police said.
Police said they have added an extra patrol to concentrate on suspicious activity and curfew violations.
State police
• Sean Lewis Gilmore, 22, of 149 McCurdy Road, Jackson Township, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after paraphernalia with marijuana residue was found at about 9:15 p.m. April 27 in his home, police said.
• Dennis J. Cragle, 52, New Castle, was going too fast and flipped his tractor-trailer at 3 a.m. June 24 while merging from U.S. Route 19 onto Interstate 80 in East Lackawannock Township, police said.
Cragle was charged with speeding and disregarding lanes.
• Yolanda Roxanne Kent, 28, of Columbus, Ohio, was arrest on a Maryland warrant for failure to appear for trial on a weapons charge after her vehicle broke down at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday along Interstate 80 in Lackawannock Township, police said.
• Someone stole scrap metal at about 10 a.m. Wednesday from the yard of a home in the 1000 block of Beatty School Road, Salem Township, police said.
• Someone stole a Harrisville woman’s wallet from her buggy as she was putting her child into a car seat at 2 p.m. Thursday near Elephant Castle Restaurant, Springfield Township, police said.
• Someone stole $480 from the purse of a Sharon woman between 9:45 a.m. and 12 noon Friday in Jones NY Store, in the Prime Outlets, Springfield Township, police said.
• Someone stole two laptop computers by smashing a window between 5:20 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday at Elder Sales and Service, New Vernon Township, police said.
• A thief took 300 pounds of copper wire and pipe between 9 p.m. June 5 and 8 a.m. June 6 from East-Penn Inc., Lackawannock Township, police said.

• Tyler Barnes, 18, of 109 Charles St., Hubbard; at 2:09 a.m. Saturday on East State Street; also charged with corruption of a minor.
• Ryan Hodge, 21, of 3533 Sharon Road, West Middlesex; at 12:55 a.m. Sunday on Broadway Avenue.
• Barry Whetzel, 44, of New Castle; at 1:20 a.m. Sunday on Broadway Avenue.
• Mark Daniels, 46, of Franklin; at 1:39 a.m. Sunday on Broadway Avenue.
• Stacey Williams, 40, of 32 Laird Ave., Wheatland; at 2:34 a.m. Sunday on Broadway Avenue.
Sharon
• Joshua A. Butler, 25, of 557 Nellie St., Masury; at 10:40 p.m. Friday on East State Street after his vehicle hit several parked cars; also cited for reckless driving.

Sharpsville
• Zachary Evan Hancox, 22, Sharon; Sunday on a bench warrant for theft from a motor vehicle, loitering and prowling at night and conspiracy.
