• Someone tried to force entry into the back of Showtime Video at about 2 a.m. Sunday on West Main Street, police said.
State police
• A Franklin woman left her purse at Springfield, Grill, U.S. Route 19, Springfield Township, and it turned up missing from the restaurant between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday, police said.
• Yahia A. Joseph, 44, West Lake, Ohio, was arrested on charges of prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, receiving stolen property, speeding and driving under suspension after a stolen handgun was found in his vehicle when he was stopped for speeding at 4:45 p.m. Monday on Interstate 80 westbound, Wolf Creek Township, police said.
• A minivan window was smashed between 6 p.m. Sunday and 7:15 a.m. Monday at a home on state Route 208 near Irishtown Road, Pine Township, police said.
• A man stole a $100 Visa card using deception at 6:30 p.m. April 14 at Country Fair, Springfield Township, police said.
• Someone in a red sedan westbound on Cowden Road, Wilmington Township, leaned out an open window and pointed a pistol at an 11-year-old boy at 3:30 p.m. Monday, police said.
• Two people were injured in a pickup-tractor-trailer crash at 7:14 a.m. Monday on Interstate 79 in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, police said.
Denise J. Gamble, 53, of West Middlesex, and Scott K. Johnson, 43, of Sherman, N.Y., were treated at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The trucks were southbound with Johnson’s semi passing Ms. Gamble’s pickup on the left when the pickup went into the passing lane and hit the semi, police said. Both trucks stopped in the median, police said.
• Jonathan L. Phillips, 38, of 512č S. Center St., Grove City, has been charged with terroristic threats and harassment for a text message he sent to a 31-year-old Pine Township woman April 23, police said.
