Greenville-West Salem Township

•Someone broke into a Greenville woman’s home between Nov. 14 and Sunday and stole her car, which has been spotted in Hempfield Township, police said.

The woman first noticed food items missing from her Ridge Avenue home and then discovered her gray and brown, 1998 Buick was gone. The license plate number is ETK1468, police said.

Two white men were seen Wednesday parking the car at a Williamson Road business. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-588-4190.

Grove City

•Someone in a vehicle threw eggs at a passing vehicle at about 11:30 a.m. Saturday on West Main Street, police said.

•A car driven by Cole Borgia, 24, Pittsburgh, sheared a telephone pole Friday at Liberty Street near Miller Avenue, police said.

Hermitage

•Arthur L. Norris, 36, of 521 Hamilton Ave., Farrell, was arrested at 4:07 a.m. Sunday on Emerson Avenue, Farrell, on charges of burglary, criminal mischief and possessing instruments of crime, police said.

Police on foot patrol said they saw Norris walking and then heard the sound of breaking glass at 1026 Hamilton Ave.. Norris ran from police, but admitted after his arrest that he broke the window to enter the home and take a rocking chair, police said. He also admitted having a screwdriver and a flashlight with him, police said.

Sharon

•Firefighters said they put out a grease fire reported at 2:38 p.m. Friday in a kitchen at 360 Wheeler Place.

A pan of grease on the stove caught fire and spread to the window and cabinets, firefighters said. Resident Cole Crosby suffered first-degree burns to his face, firefighters said.

The rental home is owned by Tom Cooper and was not insured, firefighters said.
