Someone stole $11,480 in cash between midnight and 2:20 a.m. Thursday from the glove box of a car parked in a hotel parking lot near Prime Outlets of Grove City in Springfield Township, state police said.

The thief cut the battery cable of the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, disabling the car’s alarm system. Then they broke out the passenger side rear window of the car and stole the cash, police said.

The cash belonged to Krystal Marie Nicholas, 18, and Thelma Mae Noble, also 18, both of 507 S. Center St., Apt. 3, Grove City, police said.

The thief fled undetected, police said.
