HERMITAGE

Hermitage police said they found marijuana seeds, marijuana, a roach — the burned remains of a marijuana cigarette — and brass knuckles in a Hickory High School student’s car Tuesday.

A policeman walked the parking lot in the morning looking into cars for contraband when he saw the seeds in the car of the 17-year-old boy, police said.

The principal called the boy to the office, and police obtained his consent to search the car, when the other items were found, police said.
