Melee outside Masury bar nets no arrests
A melee Friday morning outside a Masury bar left police searching for those who took part, Brookfield police Chief Dan Faustino said.
A fight between at least five people broke out at about 12:45 a.m. in the parking lot of Sky Club, 8189 Warren-Sharon Road, police said.
A call to police said men outside the bar, formerly known as the Bounty Hunter Inn, were beating one another with baseball bats, Faustino said.
The bar’s owner told police three men parked their motorcycles and came in around midnight, police said. A few minutes later, two more men came and the group began arguing, police said.
The owner told the men he didn’t want any trouble in his bar and the group left for the parking lot, police said.
One of the men then pushed over a motorcycle and the entire group began fighting, police said.
When police arrived, the men had already fled the bar toward Sharon, some on motorcycles and the others in two vehicles, police said.
An aluminum bat, a knife and the knife’s sheath were found in the parking lot after the fight along with a baseball and a fielder’s glove, police said.
Police were unsuccessful in finding the men after the melee and ask anyone with information to contact them at 330-448-6960.
