Police, fire from July 7, 2008



Hermitage

-- Bruce J. Graban, 23, of 123 N. Irvine Ave., Sharon, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Friday on charges of attempted burglary and criminal mischief, after police said he attempted to break into a Crawford Drive home by breaking out a basement window.

A neighbor saw Graban and notified police; Graban fled but was subsequently located and arrested near his home with the assistance of Sharon police, police said.

-- Kenneth J. Klemens, 24, of 291 Case Ave., Sharon, was arrested at 11 p.m. Friday on charges of criminal trespass, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after he was found hiding in an ex-girlfriend’s basement on Skyline Drive, police said.

He subsequently fought with the ex-girlfriend’s father and a neighbor and slashed a car tire with a knife, police said.
