Bishop made right call on Clinton visit

I am very disappointed in Lynn Saternow’s column in Saturday’s paper.
Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI both wrote encyclicals about people that believe in abortion. All forms of abortion are condemned by Catholics, Protestants, Jews and Muslims.
Why? Because it’s contrary to the laws of nature and God. There are so many alternative means all that one would need to do is ask ministers from the above religions.
This was a fantastic example that Bishop Trautman gave. My only hope is that I hope is none of the graduates show up too.
Bishop Trautman is highly thought of by priests and bishops throughout the United States. We are to follow his example. Bishop Trautman is not turning his back on people but setting an example for every Catholic in the Erie Diocese. He loves the person but does not like what they stand for.
I am a Democrat but will not vote for Clinton or Obama because of their pro-choice belief. They should both go and talk to their ministers.
Tell me why our Democratic candidates don’t believe in life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Forgiveness is the beginning of healing.
Just like the Amish down in Lancaster they forgave a man that killed a few of their girls at school. If everyone had this attitude, we would be able to do away with the death penalty.
We might even be able to get rid of all jails too because love is catching.
The church isn’t tainted. God is looking after his church and he has many good priests.
This is Good Shepherd Sunday and who is the shepherd? Anyone in authority, such as husbands, local government, state government, federal government, bishops, pope, ministers, rabbis and Muslim leaders. We are the sheep so love, honor and obey.
