NEW CASTLE — Lillian Helen Schmidt Hasz, Conestoga Trail, Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, passed away at 8:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, in Eidson Manor, New Castle. She was 95.

Mrs. Hasz was born Sept. 16, 1911, in Milwaukee to Henrick Carl Schmidt and Emilie Lange Schmidt.

She was a graduate of Riverside High School in Milwaukee.

A homemaker, Mrs. Hasz was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sharon.

Her husband, Elmer Richard Hasz, whom she married Oct. 15, 1939, passed away in May 1995.

Surviving are two sons, David Richard Hasz, Rome, N.Y.; and Carl John Hasz, Pulaski.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Hasz was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Viola Schmidt, Dorothy Ladewig and Ruth Schmidt.

Memorial contributions may be made to the handicap fund of Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 699 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon 16146.

Calling hours: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday (9-13-07) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday (9-14-07) in Sts. Peter and Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharon, with the Rev. Jeffrey Harter, pastor, officiating.

Interment: Evergreen Cemetery, New Bedford.
