Donald Edward Torr

Funeral services are being planned for Donald Edward Torr, St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Sharon. He passed away of cancer at 3:17 a.m. Friday (5-16-08) in Hospice Woodside, Pinellas Park, Fla., following an extended illness. He was 54.
Don was born Aug. 23, 1953, in Sharon, a son of Robert and Betty M. Kenehan Torr.
He was a 1971 graduate of Sharon High School and moved in 1997 to Florida.
Don was a security guard at the St. Petersburg Post Office for many years, a job he truly enjoyed, until he became ill.
Prior to moving to Florida, he was employed at the former General American Transportation Corp., Masury.
Don was a former member of Hickory United Methodist Church, Hermitage.
Surviving are: a son, Justin Torr and his wife, Donna, and two grandchildren, Trey and Alexis Torr, all Land-O-Lakes, Fla.; his mother, Betty M. Torr, Hermitage; and three brothers, Robert Torr Jr. and his companion, Pat Deeter, Cochranton; William Torr and his wife, Joyce, Estero, Fla.; and Paul Torr and his wife, Susan, Sharon.
Don was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Heather Torr.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 1501 Pasadena Ave. S., St. Petersburg, FL 33707.
