Published May 15, 2008 02:15 pm - A funeral service is being planned for Lena Moyer, 800 Linden St., Sharon. She passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday (5-12-08) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 77.

A funeral service is being planned for Lena Moyer, 800 Linden St., Sharon. She passed away at 10:30 a.m. Monday (5-12-08) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. She was 77.

Mrs. Moyer was born Sept. 30, 1930, in Farrell to John and Ana Ferger Repas.

After graduating from high school, she worked a number of jobs including 13 years at Sharon Regional Health System as a dietitian.

On July 22, 1969, she married her husband, Lloyd Moyer, who passed away in 1987. Together they lived in Greenville until Mr. Moyer’s death. Lena then moved back to Sharon.

She was extremely intelligent and spent a great deal of time reading. She could also read and write Latin and often read her Bible out loud in Latin though it was written in English.

She held her faith very close to her heart and was of the Palmarian Catholic faith, often attending St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, as well as several others.

Lena also spent a great deal of time attending Catholic Charities meetings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Lloyd Moyer; and several siblings.

She is survived by a brother, Jack Repas, California; and friends including Marie Besser, Sharon.

Burial: St. Rose’s Cemetery, Hermitage.

Arrangements will be announced by SAMPLE-O’DONNELL FUNERAL HOME Inc., East State Street at North Oakland Avenue, Sharon.
