Published May 15, 2008 02:13 pm - Funeral services will be Saturday (5-17-08) for Shirley M. Collins, Mercer Manor, 130 S. Otter St., Mercer, formerly of Grove City. She died at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday (5-13-08) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a two-year illness. She was 74.

Funeral services will be Saturday (5-17-08) for Shirley M. Collins, Mercer Manor, 130 S. Otter St., Mercer, formerly of Grove City. She died at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday (5-13-08) in the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System after a two-year illness. She was 74.

She was born Dec. 22, 1933, in Erie to Kenneth W. and Goldie May Vincent Dotterer.

She was a homemaker and formerly owned and operated Shirley’s Plaster Craft in Grove City.

She was a member of Wayside Community Church, Findley Township.

She enjoyed cooking, doing crafts and spending time with her family.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are: eight children, Timothy Rhoades and his wife Jonnie, Knoxville, Tenn.; Gerald Rhoades and his wife Sandra, Mercer; Darlene Hockenberry and her husband Craig, Grove City; Deborah Robinson, Grove City; Deena Edwards and her husband Richard, Grove City; Kendra Hockenberry and her husband Carl, Mercer; Lisa Schumacher and her husband Paul, Fowler; and Todd Collins, Mercer; one sister, Carol Filer and her husband John, Grove City; two brothers, Gary Dotterer and his wife Shirley, Erie; and Robert Dotterer and his wife Phyllis, Alpine, Calif.; and 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, K. Mark Sutherland; and one brother, Dwight Dotterer.

Calling hours: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday (5-16-08) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Service: Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (5-17-08) in the funeral home with the Rev. Kenton G. Shaw, pastor of Wayside Community Church, Findley Township, officiating.

Burial: Big Bend Cemetery, Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.
