Published May 15, 2008 01:37 pm - A funeral service will be held Friday for Patricia A. Pollock Vitello, 338è Ellsworth St., Sharon. She passed away peacefully at 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon, May 12, 2008, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 72.

Sharon woman was PTA president, liked bingo


A funeral service will be held Friday for Patricia A. Pollock Vitello, 338è Ellsworth St., Sharon. She passed away peacefully at 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon, May 12, 2008, in her residence after an extended illness. She was 72.

Mrs. Vitello was born April 2, 1936, in Sharon to Chester D. and Ann Dubay Pollock.

As a past president of West Hill Parent Teacher Association, she was responsible for getting cable television into West Hill School, Sharon. She had been active in the Patagonia Little League when her sons were playing.

Patricia loved to spend time with her family and was known as “Grandma” to many. She was an avid bingo player and was of the Protestant faith.

Her husband, Robert J. Vitello Sr., whom she married on Nov. 15, 1952, survives in Sharon.

Also surviving are: two daughters, Patricia A. MacElroy-Sok and her companion Robert Phillips, Sharon; and Kathleen L. and her husband John Yesko, Hermitage; two sons, Robert J. Vitello Jr. and his wife Grace, Masury; and Donald D. Vitello and his companion Wendy Scheldemantle, Sharon; and a sister, Linda and her husband Roy Sanders, Sharon.

Patricia also leaves: 19 grandchildren, Patricia Meszaros Spangler, Tracey Meszaros Watt, Dr. William Bellas, Andrew Minnitti, Attorney Robert Vitello III, Antonio Vitello, Alesandros Vitello, Michealina Vitello, Marcell Vitello, Dawn Marie Vitello, Angelina Vitello, John Whitmore, Levon Whitmore, Robert Van Tassel, Donald Marcus Van Tassel, Tim Yesko, Brian Yesko, Neisha Vitello and Aaron Bradley; and 13 great-grandchildren, Samantha Spangler, Miranda Watt, Theodore Watt, Greta Bellas, Anthony McMillian, Brionna Moore, Laniece Manning, Alyana Manning, Hunter Lee Whitmore, Talon Thompson, Teagen Thompson, Madison Yesko and Alexia Yesko.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Anthony Vitello, who passed away Feb. 10, 1986; a grandson, Michael Anthony Vitello Jr.; and two infant brothers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Colonial Square, 1965 Shenango Valley Freeway, Suite 2, Hermitage 16148.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday (5-16-08) in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Harter, chaplain of Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Hermitage.
