SEATTLE — Mary L. Villella, 1333 Greenwood Ave., Seattle, a resident of Seattle for the past 20 years, died after a five-year illness at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in her residence. She was 78.
Ms. Villella was born June 26, 1930, in Grove City to Frank Villella and Josephine Corce Villella Byard.
For most of Mary’s working life, she was a clerk at the former G.C. Murphy Co., downtown Grove City.
She was a member of Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, where she was active with the Rosary Sodality Society and other various church organizations.
Also, she was a member of Women of the Moose, Mercer.
While living in Seattle, she attended Church of Mary Magdalene and she was a member of the touring choir of the church.
She is survived by: two sisters, Mrs. Carolyn Byard Sack and her husband Ronald J. Sack, Slippery Rock; and Mrs. Lois E. Kachidian and her husband Victor, Centennial, Colo.; a brother, Walter M. Byard, Denver; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, Michael.

Service: A memorial Mass will be held in Mary’s memory at 10 a.m. Thursday (5-15-08) at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Forestville, Butler County, with the Rev. Matthew McCain as celebrant.
