A funeral service will be held Tuesday for Jeanne B. Blackson, West Salem Township. She passed away at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, in St. Paul Homes, West Salem Township. She was 79.

Mrs. Blackson was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Greenville to Rudolph and Martha Pierstorff Bollenbacher.

A 1946 graduate of the former Penn High School in Greenville, she retired in 1994 as director of food service from Thiel College, Greenville, with more than 30 years of employment.

Jeanne was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville.

She enjoyed traveling, watching sports and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her husband, William Blackson, whom she married Dec. 12, 1978, passed away on Feb. 24. 1995.

Surviving are: a companion, John Reigelman, Greenville; three daughters, Kathy Leib and her husband Arnie, Bowling Green, K.Y.; Linda Haslett and her husband Robert; and Vicki Coxson and her husband Randy, all Greenville; a sister, Maxine Clark, also Greenville; four grandchildren, Heather Busch, Benjamin Leib, Jason Haslett and Chad Held; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail Busch, Alexandra Busch and Taylor Haslett.

Besides her husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold Bollenbacher and Johnson Bollenbacher; and two sisters, Georgina Bollenbacher and Eleanor Callahan.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 Trinity Place, Greenville 16125; or ALS Association, Western Pennsylvania West Virginia Chapter, 416 Lincoln Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15209.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church with the Rev. Martin M. Roth, pastor, officiating.

Burial: With committal service in Shenango Valley Cemetery, Greenville.
