Daniel James Holiga

Daniel James Holiga, 22, of 325 Michael Grove, Bozeman, Mont., was killed in a motorcycle accident April 25, 2008, near his residence.
Dan was born May 26, 1985, in Hermitage to Annette Infante Holiga and Edward Holiga.
He attended Hermitage schools and graduated from Hickory High School in 2003.
After graduation, Dan moved to Bozeman, where he began working in the construction business, eventually starting his own business, Dan Holiga Construction.
In January 2007, Dan accepted a position with Shey Homes Inc. as a project manager, overseeing the building of homes and office buildings in the Bozeman area.
During his school-age years, Dan enjoyed playing golf and was on the Hickory High School golf team. He remained an avid golfer throughout his life.
Dan also enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie with his father and brother, and always will be his mom’s Danny Boy.
Dan was a devout Christian and belonged to Fellowship Baptist Chruch in Bozeman. He taught Sunday school to the children at the church, and had recently joined the Praise Choir where he played guitar. Dan enjoyed Christian and bluegrass music.
Dan had an outgoing and fun-loving personality. He always had a smile on his face. He had many, many friends, both here and in Montana.
Dan is survived by his mother, Annette; by his father, Edward and his wife Lorraine; his brother, Matthew E. Holiga; his stepsister, Nadine Walker; his grandparents, John and Dorothy Holiga; his stepgrandparents, William and Johanna Milich; and dear friends, Chuck Flickenger and Ryan Norsworthy.
Dan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Ethel Infante.
A memorial service for Dan will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Hickory United Methodist Church, 240 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage.
His family asks that any memorial contribution be made to Fellowship Baptist Chruch, 2165 Durston Road, Bozeman 59718.
