A June 28, 2008, wedding is planned by Kelly Jo Vassen and Matthew Phillip Carothers, both of 719 Boojum Court, Henderson, Nev.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Richard and Emma Vassen, 3752 Sample Road, Hermitage.
Parents of the future bridegroom are James and Cheryl Carothers, 2403 Mercer Road, Stoneboro.
Miss Vassen graduated from Hickory High School, Hermitage, and Shenango Campus of Pennsylvania State University, Sharon, in human development and family studies. She is employed by Phase IV Marketing, Las Vegas.
Her fiance graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School, Hermitage. He attends the college of Southern Nevada and is a bartender for Wynn, Las Vegas.
