Toys for Tots
SHARON —Penn State Shenango holds a toy drive to benefit the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation. A community collection drive will be held at the Hermitage Wal-Mart Super Center from 12:30 through 6:30 p.m. today (Nov. 25), staffed by Shenango campus students, faculty and staff. All new toys are welcome.
The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Penn State Shenango will continue collecting for Toys for Tots through Friday, Dec. 11, in the campus bookstore located in McDowell Hall and in Sharon Hall, rooms 103 and 214.

Toys for Tots
MERCER — In conjunction with Mercer County Children’s Aid Society, the Mercer barracks of the state police will collect toys for local kids who may not get gifts this holiday. New, unwrapped toys will be accepted 24/7 through Dec. 11 in the barracks, Route 62, Jackson Center.
Also accepting new unwrapped gifts for Toys for Tots:
• The Mercer County Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St., Mercer, until Dec. 15.
• Penn State Shenango, in the campus bookstore in McDowell Hall and in Sharon Hall rooms 103 and 214, through Dec. 11. Applications for Toys for Tots can be obtained by calling the Mercer County Family Center at 724-588-2404.
Urban League Secret Santa
FARRELL — The Shenango Valley Urban League, 601 Indiana Ave., Farrell, will sponsor a Secret Santa Christmas gift collection to benefit Joshua’s Haven, a homeless men’s shelter in Sharon.
Gifts from the following list can be taken to the Urban League between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 9 to be wrapped by students in the Urban League’s NULITES youth program: white socks, slippers, headbands, shaving cream, shampoo, thermal underwear and socks, and large or extra large pajama pants, T-shirts (regular or long-sleeve) or sweatshirts. Slovak Home
FARRELL — The First Slovak Workingmen’s Educational Club Home of Sokol USA Lodge 103 in Farrell is collecting toys and monetary gifts through Christmas for Children’s Aid Society, Mercer; the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Campaign, Greenville; and for the lodge’s annual children’s Christmas party at the club.
New toys and money can be dropped off from 7 a.m. to midnight daily, including weekends.
Presents for Patients
MERCER COUNTY — The community is asked to deliver small gifts to residents of Mercer County nursing, assisted living and personal care homes via Presents for Patients. These establishments are involved for their residents:
• Ashby’s Personal Care Home, 752 Stambaugh Ave., Sharon — eight residents.
• Ashby’s Personal Care Home West, 101 Fifth Ave., Sharon — eight.
• Bentley House, 2400 Garden Way, Hermitage — 40.
• Countryside Convalescent Home, 8221 Lamor Road, East Lackawannock Township — 118.
• Grove Manor, 435 N. Broad St., Grove City — 97.
• Hospitality Care Center, 3726 E. State St., Hermitage — 33.

Gutchies for Kidz
HERMITAGE — As part of the Gutchies for Kidz program Quota International of Hermitage is collecting new pajamas for children in Mercer County.
Please drop off boys and girls pajamas in the sizes of 4-14 at the following Hermitage locations:
• Knott’s Interiors, 1505 N. Hermitage Road.
• Je’riel Fashions, 1550 E. State St.
• Greenville Savings Bank, 550 N. Hermitage Road.
Thiel College
GREENVILLE — The Thiel Campus Police, Greenville-West Salem Township Police and Hempfield Township Police need your help to continue the success of the annual U.S. Marines Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive in Greenville.
The mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect toys during the fall of each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The Greenville drive will collect new, unwrapped toys through Dec. 16, which then will be distributed to children in the Greenville-Mercer County area.
Cash donations also are accepted and will be used to purchase new toys.
Anyone wishing to drop off new toys or a donation can do so to the Thiel College Campus Police, located on the second floor of the Howard Miller Student Center on Thiel’s campus, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or at the Greenville-West Salem Township Police Department at the intersection of Main and Water streets.
