Meeting

• John XXIII Home Auxiliary meets at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the home, 2250 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage. The auxiliary will also hold a Halloween bingo at 2 p.m. Oct. 31.

• Zion’s United Church of Christ, Church Street, Transfer, is having a vegetable beef soup lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18. Salad bard, pie and drink are included for $6. Takeouts available at a price of $4.50 per quart of soup or 3 quarts for $11.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 396 Buhl Blvd., Sharon, is having a rummage/yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 18. The church will also be selling tickets for Lock, Stock & Barrel Subs to help benefit the Reed Family Fund.

Robbie Reed, a 2-year-old who is autistic, got lead poisoning from paint in the family’s home. Thrivent Financial will supplement any proceeds from these events.

• Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., Brookfield, is having a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 18.

Menu includes all-you-can-eat spaghetti, meatballs, salad bar, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert.

Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for ages 6 to 12. Takeouts available beginning at 3:30 p.m.
