Fundraisers
• UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation will host its sixth annual Boo Ball Oct. 30 at The Corinthian, 47 Vine Ave., Sharon. Doors open at 7 p.m. Costumes are encouraged but not required. The evening will include a dinner buffet, psychic readings, .25 cent drafts, and a costume contest. Entertainment will be provided by The Look. Tickets are $35 each or $300 for a table of 10. Proceeds from the Boo Ball benefit community projects supported by the UPMC Horizon Community Health Foundation.
• A good used clothing sale will be fro, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Hickory United Methodist Church, 240 N. Hermitage Road, Hermitage, next to the Shenango Valley Mall. Saturday will be $1 per bag day.
• Irwin Presbyterian Church, Georgetown Road, Stoneboro, holds a buckwheat and pancake supper from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 17. Cost is $7 for adults; $3.50 for children 6 to 10; and children ages 5 and younger, are free. All proceeds benefit local mission projects. Details: 814-786-7305.
• Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3325 Morefield Road, Hermitage, hosts a spaghetti dinner, a benefit and fundraiser for Glade Run Lutheran Services for Children, from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The church is located behind Home Depot. There will also be a Chinese auction. Tickets for dinner are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Takeouts available. Special events
• Sharpsville Church of the Nazarene, 810 W. Ridge Ave., will be giving away free good useable clothes, toys and other items from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the church fellowship hall. Bring your own bags.
• First Church of God, 192 Vernon Road (West Main Hill), Greenville, holds Round-up Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. There will be hayrides, games, contests, prizes and a chuck wagon lunch. Blue jeans and Western wear welcome. All activities are free.
Meetings
• Farrell High School class of 1946 gathers at 1 p.m. Monday at Market City Bistro, 869 E. State St., Sharon.

• Sawhill retirees meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at The American Legion Hall, State Street, Sharon. All retirees are welcome.

• Grove City Medical Center offers the following support groups in the hospital’s education center, unless otherwise noted:
- Parents of Autistic Children Together (PACT), 7 p.m. Monday and the first Monday of each month.
- Cancer Support Group, 6 p.m. Oct. 15 and the third Thursday of each month in the hospital’s library.
- Grief Support group, 6 p.m. Oct. 20 and the third Tuesday of each month.
- Overeaters Anonymous, 6 p.m. every Friday.
