St. Michael School earns Healthy High 5 grant
GREENVILLE — St. Michael School, Greenville, has been awarded a $5,000 Highmark Healthy High 5 School Challenge grant to implement “Dance Around the World for Fitness and Fun.” The program addresses childhood obesity.
The school will use the grant to start the program for 86 third- through eighth-graders.
Highmark Foundation, through the challenge. has awarded more than $1.8 million in grants to 244 schools in 43 counties in Pennsylvania for programs addressing bullying and providing chances for physical activity.

Sandy Lake Presbyterian taking Angel Food orders
SANDY LAKE TOWNSHIP — Angel Food Ministry orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8 and 15 in Sandy Lake (Township) Presbyterian Church, 3461 Sandy Lake-New Lebanon Road.
The value of the grocery items is $50 to $60 for $30.
Assorted meat grill box, steak and meat combo, party win special box, dinner box and fresh fruit and dinner box are the specials, available for $20 each. One or more can be purchased with the $30 unit or the new senior menu for $25.
Payment can be made in cash, cashiers check, money order or food stamps. Personal checks will not be taken.
A large box, basket or ice chest should be taken to pick up the order between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27 in the church.
