Fundraisers
Herb Thymers will sponsor a garden decor sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the former site of the Bissett Chevrolet dealership, 130 N. Pitt St., Mercer, as part of the borough’s community yard sale.
Some miscellaneous yard sale items also will be sold.
Diversified Family Services is having a multi family /yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 7.
There will also be refreshments and baked goods. All proceeds go toward DFS’s scholarship fund.
They are also accepting donations of household items, in good condition. Call 724-346-2123 and ask for either Stacey or Jacki. The sale is at Diversified Family Services, 5455 E. State St., Hermitage, next to the Hermitage VFW.
South Pymatuning Volunteer Fire Department, 3505 Tamarack Drive, is having a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Shenango Valley Senior Center, 220 N. Buhl Farm Drive, Hermitage, holds a plant sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through May 23. Info: 724-981-7950.
iXL Rehab & Fitness Center, 139 North Erie St., Mercer, will be conducting a St. Jude Workout to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday. Anyone wishing to work out for this event will receive a free two-week pass to iXL.
Prizes are awarded to the top fundraisers. Register by phone, 724-662-1776 or come in to iXL Rehab, Exercise and Wellness Center to fill out a form.
Picnic
The 19th Annual West Middlesex High School picnic will begin at 5:30 p.m. July 10 at Shenango Township Park.
All those who attended West Middlesex High School are invited. Bring a casserole or dessert and a guest. In case of bad weather it will be held at the Presbyterian Church, Main Street, West Middlesex.
