• Pass it on Day will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. May 17 at Emmanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, New Vernon Township.
There will be free clothing for men, women, children and infants, all ages and sizes, as well as free household items, including furniture and furnishings.
Free coffee and donuts will be served. The event is open to the public. Info: 724-376-3412, Ext. 10.
• American Legion Post 299, Sharon, and the Legion’s Department of Pennsylvania announce a Veterans Outreach Service is available to Mercer County veterans from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15 and every third Thursday of each month.
Any veteran needing help with a VA claim, medical benefits or general information is urged to make plans to attend. Veterans may make appointments by calling 342-9093 or stopping by the post home.
Veterans are reminded to take their DD-214 and/or any other military discharge papers with them.
Fundraisers
• The 10th annual flea market to benefit the Hermitage Historical Society is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stewart House driveway and Whispering Pines Park walkway. Set up at 6:30 a.m. at the garage at Stewart House.
Vendor space is available for $10 and you must bring your own tables.
There will be a variety of crafter, books, food and more.
All proceeds benefit the society. This year’s need is roof repairs and blacktop to complete the driveway.
• Mercer County Master Gardeners are holding their 12th annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mercer County 4-H Park Exhibit Building, 1è miles north of Mercer on Route 19. There will be annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs.
