SRU hosts Grammy winner Libby Larsen
SLIPPERY ROCK -- Libby Larsen, the Grammy-Award winning producer and composer of more than 200 songs, is heading to Slippery Rock University for a residency Monday and Tuesday as part of the Kaleidoscope arts festival.
She will meet with music students and attend a free performance of her music presented by SRU students and faculty members at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Swope Music Hall.
Larsen received a Grammy for producing the CD “The Art of Arlene Auger.” Kaleidoscope continues through Tuesday.
Women’s Night Out set at Mercer Area Library
Mercer Area Library will host its third annual Women’s Night Out at 7 p.m. Monday.
The event will feature dessert, book displays, a door prize drawing and two presentations. Debbie Thompson of Nelson’s Flowers will speak on arranging fresh flowers, and Marilyn Stevens of Marilyn’s English Country Victoria will discuss shabby chic-style decorating. Seating is limited.
