Fundraisers

• American Business Women’s Association Greenville Torchbearer Chapter will hold marathon bingo Wednesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 170 Clarksville St., Greenville.

Tickets are $35 before April 6 and $40 thereafter. For tickets, call or mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to Peg Revell, 18 N. High St., Greenville 16125; 724-588-5298 or any ABWA member. Tickets are non-refundable and proceeds will benefit the chapter’s education fund.

• Kennedy Catholic Girls’ Softball Team will hold a fundraiser at Pizza Hut, Hermitage, from 4 to 8 p.m. March 23. The cost is $6.99 for adults and $3.99 for children ages 4 to 10. A portion of the purchase price of the buffet and all the buffet tips go to help the team.

• United Methodist Women will hold three Lenten luncheons in the social room of Calvary United Methodist Church, 44 S. Mercer St., Greenville. Cost is $4 for adults and $2 for children. Luncheons are:

Old Salem United Methodist Women will prepare sloppy joes, cole slaw, chips, pickles and pie on Wednesday. Music by Barbara Davis and Bill Hurlbert. Speaker will be the Rev. John Bargar of Jamestown/State Line/Westford United Methodist churches.

Greenville First United Methodist Women will prepare barbecue ham sandwiches, relish tray, chips, gelatin salad and brownies on March 25. Music by Don Curtis and Bill Hurlbert. Rev. David Dobi of Greenville First Presbyterian Church will be the speaker.

North Salem United Methodist Women will prepare sloppy joes, macaroni salad, chips and pie on April 1. Music by Lyn and Norm Mossman. The Rev. Karen Gray of Fallowfield/Kennard United Methodist churches will be the speaker.

• Kinsman United Methodist Church Trustees will hold their chicken and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Tickets are $7 for adults; $3.50 for children ages 4 to 12; and children ages 3 and younger are free. Takeouts available by calling 330-876-5641. The church is handicap accessible.

Meetings

• Hickory High School class of 1960 meets for lunch at 11:30 a.m. March 21 at Red Lobster, 3370 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage.

• Shenango Valley Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1338 will hold nominations for post officers at 8 p.m. April 7.

Elections will be held at 8 p.m. May 5 at the post.
